Kimchi

Last summer vacation, I went to Korea.
Korea is popular country for japanese girl.
Japasese girl enjoy shopping and beauty treatment there.
Of course, I enjoyed and I love Korea:)

And another enjoyment is food!
Korean food is so delicious and suit Japanese palete.
I went to many restrant with my friends and ate many foods.
Bibimbab, kimpap(korean rice rolled in laver), Tteokbokki, Yakiniku and so on.
In Korea, every restran served side dishes whithout order.
Kimchi is most popular side dish.

I like Kimchi and eat it in Japan also.
It is korean homely food.
They make kimchi in their home and eat it every day.
First, pickle chinese cabbage with solt for a day.
After that, wash it and pickle with red pepper, garlic, leek, fish guts pickled in salt, and so on.
Sometimes fruits are used to make it smooth.
After 4 or 5 day, it become delicious kimchi.

Kimchi include much vitamine and lactic acid bachilli.
It is healthy food.

In korea kimchi is more delicious than Japan!
If you went to korea, please try it:)
But you have to take care if you want to take it to Japan.
It has strong amell and your suitcase may smell for a week;(

  1. Hi AKARI!
    I'm YUNA:)

It's great to know how to make kimuchi.
I also love eating Korean food!
We must have a chat about it;)

When I went to Korea, I expected to eat delicious "Sam Gae Tan(rice stuffed boiled chicken)" ,but I couldn't have a good one.
Do you know we have to put salt or pepper by our own when we eat it in Korea?
I didn't, so I ate "Sam gae Tan" with no-taste X( So I want to revange it!!

Anyway, I prefer Korean KImuch to Japanese one as well as you. I think Japanese kimuch is sweeter and softer taste...isn't it?

Your blog made me feel to eat Korean food!
Why don't you try it together?;)

  6. Hi Akari, this is Megumi ;)
I don't like to eat hot or spicy foods but I can barely eat Japanese Kimchi, so I may not eat Korean Kimchi :(
BTW, do you know people who take red pepper's calyx out need to stuff with their nose by tissues?
It is too hard to take out without being stimulated their eyes or noses, like when cutting onions.
Of course their appearances are a little bit strange and funny, but they won't disappear until Kimchi continues to get the popularity all over the world.
